In October 2015, I participated in Norsk Høstfest, which is North America’s largest Scandinavian festival, where over 20,000 Americans celebrate Scandinavian cultural heritage every year.
The participants in Norsk Høstfest are often the descendants of the immigrants, who feel related to Scandinavia. And they are very interested in learning about the culture of their ancestors.
At Norsk Høstfest, I exhibited my paper cuts together with a large number of other Scandinavian and internationally renowned artists and artisans.
I was well received at Norsk Høstfest and the festival acknowledged my efforts by awarding me the festival’s merit prize, which is given to artists and exhibitors for the excellent creative execution of the Scandinavian theme, artistic expression and to provide memorable experiences to the festival participants. Of course, I was very happy to receive this award
