As it is Easter time, I was contacted by TV2/Fyn.
They asked how I started working as a paper cutter. Was it something to do with a gækkebrev…?
And yes – it did indeed start with a gækkebrev. Read more about how I came out as a paper cutter at Easter 2023 and what happened afterwards.
That was exactly what I talked to TV2/Fyn about, and it resulted in a short feature titled “Torben teaches Japanese people the paper-thin art.”
Happy Easter 😊
A gækkebrev is a traditional Danish Easter letter. It is a paper-cut letter, often decorated with intricate designs, containing a short rhyme. The sender remains anonymous and signs the letter with dots instead of their name. If the recipient cannot guess who sent it before Easter, they traditionally owe the sender a chocolate Easter egg.
